SkillsActive and National Skills Academy for Sport and Active Leisure event

The SkillsActive Group is holding an event to engage participants in the National Skills Academy for Sport and Active Leisure. The event will take place from 12.15-4pm on Thursday 16 July 2009 at the MPH Training & Conference Centre, South Shields, Gateshead, and includes a buffet lunch and refreshments.
The aim of the day is to offer participants better understanding of what the NSA for Sport and Active Leisure does, and how it currently meets the needs of learners, employers and delivery partners. It will also clarify the relationship between SkillsActive and the NSA.
This is an ideal opportunity for participants to be able to network, discuss issues, and to directly support and influence the planning and delivery of the NSA in the North East.
Audience members will include local authority sport and leisure managers; human resources managers; FE and HE sport and recreation managers; sport directors; business managers; education, training and development providers; learning provider networks; county-sport partnerships and community-sport networks; national governing bodies; school-sport partnerships; professional sports clubs; voluntary community sector organisations and social enterprises; private health and fitness operators; charitable leisure trusts; public-health agencies; careers advice and employment services; funding bodies; and regeneration agencies.
