As part of the national public health information and intelligence strategy, Informing Healthier Choice, the North East Public Health Observatory (NEPHO), in collaboration with Public Health Intelligence North East (PHINE), is offering an eight-day introductory course in public-health intelligence skills.
The course, which will take place over nine Tuesdays starting from 20 October 2009, aims to meet the public-health skills and knowledge needs of analysts in primary care trusts, the Strategic Health Authority or local authorities. Although it is aimed at analysts new to public health, some of the sessions may also be of benefit to public-health specialists.

To apply for a place either on the whole course or for specific sessions please complete an application form and return to Judith McLean at NEPHO by no later than Monday 21st September. Forms may also be downloaded from the NEPHO websitehttp://www.nepho.org.uk/event.
